FORWARD STEPS RENEWING PROGRAM

12 Steps for Christians Renewal - A 12 Step Renewal Program Based On The Word Of God

What is 12 Steps for Christians Renewal?

   RENEWAL

"be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind"

                                                                                    Romans 12: 2

We welcome all who seek renewal through Christ. It may be difficult at first, but you can be filled with faith, hope, and love that God provides through Christ. We believe by the Renewing of the mind thru the Word of God lives will be Transformed.

  • New Believers who struggle with past hurts, old habits, and the consequences of behaviors forgiven, but not forgotten.
  • Christian Visitors who are familiar with twelve-step recovery programs, but are looking for other Christians who name Jesus Christ as their Higher Power.
  • Other Visitors who have yet to trust Christ and are seeking personal renewal.

Christian Renewal

Addiction is one of the most painful experiences anyone can have - no matter what the subject. Many Christians experience internal conflict that surfaces in an increased feeling of guilt - between knowing what is right, what the Bible says is right, and behavior that we know is wrong for us, but cannot control. Christian renewal is about releasing the grip of addiction and renewing faith in God.

Christian renewal can realign life in the Holy Spirit.

Christian renewal can show you how to live the life God wants for you.

Christian renewal helps confess the pain and frustration to God.

"Indeed, in our hearts we felt the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead." 2 Corinthians 1:9

The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord; and He delighteth in his way. Psalm 37:23

When We Meet?

Every Monday and Wednesday  groups will meet on  evenings from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at the church

Let Go and Let God

  1. Be filled with the faith, hope, and love that only God can provide through Christ.
  2. We admitted we were powerless over the effects of our separation from God - that our lives had become unmanageable.
  3. Came to believe that a power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.
  4. Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God.
  5. Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.
  6. Admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.
  7. Were entirely ready to have God remove these defects of character.
  8. Humbly asked Him to remove our shortcomings.
  9. Made a list of all persons we had harmed, and became willing to make amends to them all.
  10. Made direct amends to such people whenever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.
  11. Continued to take personal inventory, and when we were wrong, promptly admitted it.
  12. Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God, as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out.

Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we will carry this message to others and  practice these principles in all our affairs.

To develop trust and relationships within the groups, the 12-step renewal program is most effective when started and finished as a series. Participants should bring a Bible,  recommended but not required, and a desire to heal.
