AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM

The Liberty Community Church/Forward Steps Program is taking applications for it's after school program

The after school program runs 2 1/2 hours a day, five days a week throughout the school year  session. Activities include homework club, reading and math tutorial, interest-based classes, sports and games, computers,  dance, drama, arts and crafts, music, science,  expanded learning opportunities, drug and violence prevention curriculum, teambuilding, conflict mediation, counseling, parent education, family nights and special events.

Program Goals

• Afterschool students will improve their academic performance.
• Afterschool students will be provided with a safe, healthy and nurturing environment.
• Afterschool students will develop life skills, including leadership and appreciation of cultural and ethnic diversity.
• Afterschool students will successfully engage in nutrition, fitness and enrichment activities.
• Families of Afterschool students will have multiple opportunities to participate in literacy and educational development activities.
