FORWARD STEPS ADULT EDUCATION

The FORWARD STEPS Adult Education programs cater to the needs of adults and their specific educational needs. Programs available include high school diploma classes, GED preparation, basic adult subjects, and computer keyboarding skills. In addition, classes are offered giving adults an opportunity to learn/experience such subjects as, exercise, finance, various computer and software classes, and art classes.

The Forward Steps Program has develop Adult Computer Education, or ACE, program to provide continued education classes on computer technology for both adult members and the community

1. Basic Windows - a course on the basic operation of Microsoft Windows operation system.

2. Basic Internet - a course on the basic operation of using an Internet browser and searching the World Wide Web.

3. Outlook Express/Email - a course on how to send/receive electronic mail and how to send letters and pictures with your e-mail.

4. Basic Word - a course that introduces the students to Microsoft's Word Program.

5. Basic Excel - a course that uses Microsoft's Excel program to create and edit spreadsheets, perform calculations and create charts and graphs.

6. Basic PowerPoint - a course on creating electronic slide show presentations for use at school or at work.

These courses are designed to include lots of hands-on experience and have an instructor assigned to answer questions and help them through the class.
